Yep, this is flat out a promo post for my anthology. Or rather, the anthology I’m a part of; I love it so much I want to claim it as mine.
[On a personal note: I’ve been sick lately, sick enough that I actually went to the doctor with the stupidly vague symptoms – I’m falling asleep, losing weight and one other weird one I won’t discuss in public. When you deal with as much chronic pain and weird, vague symptoms as I do, going to the doctor with more is hard.
Now, I’m waiting on a bunch of blood work.
But it means that instead of doing promo work, I’m falling asleep.
Instead of editing A Year in the Life of S. Claus for release in June, I’m falling asleep.
It’s fucking annoying.
Since I AM awake right now, let’s do some promo stuff, shall we? 😄]
“A Guide to Claiming a Scaredy Cat” comes out on April 24th!
Here is everything you need to know about it:
We have ten stories by 9 FABULOUS authors (including yours truly):
Josette Reuel and S.E. Issac, who organized it.
A.M. Cosgrove as Alley Cat
Crystal St Clair
Each story is between 15,000 and 20,000 words; most other anthology stories are between 8k and 10k. That means that you are getting far more for the slight bit more we are charging ($2.99USD) than you do for the average anthology at more than 150,000 words.
Still with me? Good! Because here’s the most important part:
A full quarter of our proceeds go to the Wounded Warrior Project in America. I’ve talked about them and their work before. And I will a lot more in a little bit. That’s 25% of the $3 you’ll be spending when you PRE-ORDER your book.

Wounded Warrior Project
Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) serves veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after September 11, 2001 and their families.
So sayeth the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) website.
They began their mission after September 11, 2001. After approximately 3000 people died, including hundreds of rescue workers and firefighters. Many of the surviving warriors volunteered for the military after that day.
WWP’s mission is to help as many wounded warriors and their families as they can. To date, they have 113,802 alumni and 28,073 family members. What’s the difference between an alumni and a member? WWP says, “there is a distinct difference between members and alumni; the term alumni indicates a mutual shared experience and denotes your place in an organization was earned.”
The people WWP help pay no dues and therefore all donations are vital to WWP. They offer Mental Health Support; including combat stress recovery, warrior care and an independence program; Health & Wellness; Career and VA Benefits Counselling, including a Warriors to Work program; and their Connection program, which hosts events like hunting trips, sporting events and educational summits.
Look at everything you’re helping create and all the people you’re helping when you pre-order this anthology.
You get some seriously amazing fun and they get some great help to move forward in their lives. It’s a major win all around.
So do it! Pre-order! Do it here!
